Migrating Systems

The steps below detail how to move the Rivendell database to a new host PC. I will assume that you have already installed Rivendell on the new host and that it is the SAME version as the old host.
Moving the audio is a simple matter of copying the files in the old host's /var/snd to the new host's /var/snd while ensuring that the file ownership is adjusted on the new host accordingly (i.e. "chown -R rduser:rduser /var/snd").

On existing Rivendell PC
- Open RDAdmin
- Click Backup Database
- Enter "rivendell.sql"
- Copy "rivendell.sql" to new Rivendell PC

On new Rivendell PC
- Abra o RDAdmin
- Clique em Restaurar Base de dados
- Clique YES na advertência sobre sobreescrever a base de dados atual
- encontre e selecione o arquivo de backup "rivendell.sql"
- quando a restauração se completar, clique em Gerenciamento de Hosts no RDAdmin
- Clique Adicinar
- Digite seu nome
- Selecione o seu antigo nome do host do "Base Host On" drop down box
- Clique OK
- Selecione o seu host recém criado e edite o endereço IP Para corresponder ao novo. (você pode também presisar editar outras informações dependendo da sua necessidade)
- Clique OK quando pronto
- Consulte Renomeando um host Rivendell para outras coisas que você pode precisar a fim de concluir a migração.
Todos os ajustes incluindo os painéis de botões de host para RDAirPlay deverão ter sido transferidos do antigo host.
